Millionaires who manifest money, success, wealth, and prosperity have a unique energy. They are the kind of people who leap out of bed each morning, unstoppable in their pursuits. Now, not all millionaires are the same. However, there’s something special about a millionaire who embraces a particular biblical principle. This is why I need you to know how to attract money from God by being a visionary. This kind of individual doesn’t just inspire you with their material success, status, and influence. What’s truly inspiring is what they represent, and this is all down to a biblical principle known as ‘vision’.
The most part of this guide is centered on vision, and I will explain this concept in a way that will help you make a difference. But first, on your course to attract money from God, there are two important questions we need to answer, and Biblically.
Is it Godly to Be Rich? (1)
This is the first question, and lots of people complicate things. Many even believe that it is godlier to stay broke. Indeed, in Matthew 6:24, Jesus explicitly warns that we cannot love and serve both God and money but did not say that there is anything ungodly about being rich. In fact, a rich person is no less holy than others. And, yes, it is Biblically okay to be rich.
A rich status can save time, provide better healthcare, allow for sabbaticals, and enable a more comfortable life. It also allows for greater generosity, which aligns with Paul’s instruction in 1 Timothy 6:18 to be rich in good deeds and share with others. However, we will also acknowledge the warning in 1 Timothy 6:9 about the dangers of wanting to be rich, which can lead to temptation, traps, and destructive desires. Money itself isn’t the problem; rather, it’s the love of money that is the root of all kinds of evil (1 Timothy 6:10). This love of money can lead to losing faith and regret.
Wealthy believers in the Bible who followed Jesus, such as Barnabas, Lydia, and Philemon are an evidence that being rich isn’t inherently wrong. The problem is loving God more than money. Jesus’s statement in Luke 18:25 about the difficulty for the rich to enter the kingdom of God highlights this concern:
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.
Does God Want Me to Get Rich at All? (2)
I’m giving you a balanced view on this. It’s hard to give a one-size-fits-all answer to whether God wants all Christians to be rich. The simple answer is no, not every Christian is meant to be wealthy. God does bless some people with wealth, and it’s okay for a Christian to have money. As a Christian, your aim shouldn’t be to get rich. God might give you a lot of money, but your main goal shouldn’t be to get rich.
1 Timothy 6:9-10 and other verses show this idea. They say that wanting to be rich can lead to trouble, bad desires, and even ruin. Loving money too much can cause all sorts of problems. It can even make people lose their faith and suffer a lot.
Proverbs 30:7-9 asks for a balance. It’s a request to God to avoid both lies and poverty, as well as excessive wealth. The idea is to have just enough, not too much or too little. Having too much might make someone forget God, and having too little might lead to stealing and disrespecting God.
How to Attract Money from God
I promised earlier to center this guide on the concept of Vision—it’s just what we will work with. I answered two very important questions up there in a balanced view, and now, it’s time to attract money from God in 10 methods.
1. Gain Spiritual Vision
The Bible, specifically in the book of Proverbs written by King Solomon, the wisest and richest king in history, touches on this, so I thought it’s the basis of riches you really need. In Proverbs 29:18, it says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” This means that without Vision, not only you but also those you care about, your community, and everyone around you can suffer. This is because of the absence of vision.
I recall a recent experience with my mentors, Patrick and David, at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach. This place is a hub for billionaires to gather and create wealth, unlike millionaires who might prefer places like Vegas. We were there for a sales Leadership Summit, surrounded by entrepreneurs. It was clear who among them had a vision for their business and who didn’t, just by the way they talked about their work. Something interesting about these entrepreneurs, and others I’ve met, is that they follow certain principles. In the United States, a land of free enterprise and entrepreneurship, there are countless ways to attract money from God. You can find endless resources on how to get wealthy. But not everyone who achieves financial success is the same. The key difference is vision. You can tell when someone has Vision; they think differently. It’s not just about the present; it’s about the future too.
2. Get Rid of Limited Vision
Many people have a short-term view of Vision. They focus on immediate needs, like paying bills. I used to be like that, especially when I left the military as a single dad with two kids who just turned 10, and my oldest is 14. Back then, my main concern was providing for my family, and making sure we had a roof over our heads. My vision was limited to the immediate future, just getting by week to week, month to month. I wasn’t thinking about the long term.
I really encourage you, especially if you are a subscriber of this blog, to start thinking bigger and broader. Our goal is to help you adopt the mindset and strategies of a millionaire. This way, you can become a first-generation cash flow millionaire yourself, and the key to this transformation is having a vision. I’ve been in rooms full of entrepreneurs, and I’ve noticed a common pattern where many people are good at sales. That was my strength for my first 8 years in business. I sold insurance, financial products, real estate, Bitcoin, Forex, gold, silver, and various services. Being good at sales is one thing, but having vision takes you to another level. It has to do with evolving from a salesperson to a sales leader, and then to a builder of people—this is what vision is all about.
3. Go for Vision Beyond Products
I often ask entrepreneurs about the vision for their business. What do they see for their business’s future? If their focus is only on the product and its features, without a clear understanding of why their product or service exists in the market, it’s a sign that their success might be short-lived.
Anyone can become an accidental millionaire or a first-generation casual millionaire. But for lasting growth and impact, it’s not enough to just focus on individual sales. Leadership is very important. You need to build departments, people, and ultimately, a company. For those who see their business as a way to bless others, not just as a means for personal gain, this is especially true. Remember, “my people perish for a lack of vision.” It’s not limited to temporary gains; so, it really also has to do with creating something enduring and meaningful through vision and leadership. That way, you attract wealth from God.
4. Become a Visionary Yourself
Another aspect that can help you attract money from God through having a vision is to become a visionary your own self. I’ll explain. It simply means having a vision that serves others, not just oneself. It’s more than just being a leader. You also want to become a builder.
Let’s illustrate this by looking at an example from the Bible, specifically in John 13:7, where Jesus demonstrates servant leadership. In this passage, Jesus performs a humble act of washing his disciples’ feet, an act considered very lowly in that society. He tells Peter:
What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand. [NIV]
When Peter resists, Jesus explains that accepting this service is important to being part of what he stands for and his ‘vision’. This act symbolizes not just leadership but servant leadership. So, yes, make it a habit to serve others—it can easily be a way to attract money from God.
5. Prepare for an Opposition
The next aspect of Vision is understanding that it will face opposition. A visionary is often seen as a ‘liar’ in the current moment because their vision hasn’t yet materialized. For example, when you tell friends and family about your big dreams, like becoming a first-generation cash-flow millionaire or achieving financial freedom, they might doubt you. This skepticism is a natural response to visionary thinking. However, if your vision is connected to something eternal, not just temporary, you’ll face difficulties. Now, what prepares you is your ability to stand firm and not be discouraged. Biblical principles suggest that you can manifest a vision, a dream, or a purpose given by God, even if others don’t understand it. Remember, God gave you this vision for a reason, and it’s not necessary for everyone to grasp it immediately.
6. Hang Around Wealthy Visionaries
You will attract wealth from God if you stay around visionary people. I hung around CEOs and mentor and found them to be inspiring. They often see things others can’t, and that’s because they are connected to the eternal aspects of their vision. This might be seen as prophetic by some. When these visionaries put in the work, they typically turn their visions into ‘reality’. This is the power of having and pursuing a vision that goes beyond the immediate and temporary, tapping into something deeper and more meaningful.
I remember when my wife and I first started in business together. She was working in medical equipment sales, specifically selling hospital beds, and doing quite well as a single mom. We were a blended family; I was a single dad, and she was a single mom. Despite her success in sales, our mentor presented her with a vision: with her skills and work ethic, she could be earning significantly more, perhaps $10,000, $15,000, or even $25,000 a month. Initially, she was skeptical, saying, “Yeah, right.” But this vision was going to realign her skills and efforts in an industry with greater earning potential. Gradually, her income started to increase – $18,000 a month, then $35,000, and it kept growing. Her vision expanded as she saw these changes happening.
Your vision can lead to remarkable associations and events where you attract money from God. We’ve had the privilege of inviting A-list celebrities and influencers to our events. This was part of our vision to draw attention to our business, which focuses on serving the multicultural middle class, a group often overlooked and underserved.
7. Again, Expect Challenges
That’s correct, pursuing this vision isn’t without challenges. You will face opposition as I mentioned earlier, both externally and internally. Sometimes, even the people you try to help will be resistant. This reminds me of a biblical story. In the Exodus, when God’s people were led out of Egypt, they experienced miraculous events like the parting of the Red Sea. Yet, even after gaining freedom, some longed to return to their lives as slaves and preferred the certainty of their past over the uncertainty of freedom. This story illustrates how sometimes, even when presented with the opportunity for a better life, people may resist change due to fear or comfort with the familiar. This is a powerful reminder of the challenges that can come with pursuing a vision, especially one that seeks to uplift and transform lives.
Just because you are pursuing something you believe is right doesn’t mean your vision won’t face hurdles, both from external and internal sources. However, opposition in your path doesn’t imply that your vision is flawed. God has given you a vision, it’s not necessarily meant for everyone else to understand or accept; it’s a matter between you and God.
8. Get to Work
Seen Proverbs 14:23?
All hard work brings a profit. [NIV]
Work isn’t a curse or a burden. Often, we hear people grumbling about their jobs or dreading Mondays. This happens because they haven’t realized that work is more than just earning money. Work is an idea from God, which means it’s a great idea, and often a foolproof pathway to wealth from God.
God promises to bless the work we do, and we can expect more than just ordinary results from our efforts. In all labor, there is profit, therefore, the rewards are more than just financial gains. God assures us that whatever we undertake will thrive and succeed. With the right attitude and following His commands, His blessings on our work will propel us further and faster than we could ever achieve alone. You might find yourself getting unexpected promotions, receiving raises even when you might not think you’ve earned them, and encountering opportunities that many only dream about.
9. Wealth Transfer is God’s Thing
You might have always thought that wealth transfers are rare, miraculous events. However, in God’s system, they happen all the time. Every time money is exchanged, that is wealth transferred. So, the more Christians get involved in owning and managing businesses, the more we’ll see money flow into the Kingdom. Even buying stocks is a way of participating in a business, and you should expect wealth to come your way from it. When you invest, speak it out loud. Make this declaration:
I declare that for every investment I undertake, there will be supernatural wealth transfers. I request, Lord, that You bless and make my work successful.
You have the vision but don’t just sit around waiting for a miracle to happen – you might fail to attract money from God just sitting around. In the words of Jerry Savelle, “I would rather have continuous supernatural health than need a miraculous healing.” It’s the same with money. If we constantly live under a supernatural financial blessing, we won’t ever need a financial miracle. That’s what God’s blessing is all about.
10. Go Easy on Your Journey
The world outside reflects our inner world. There are two types of people: those who see scarcity and those who see abundance. Both perspectives are valid.
Napoleon Hill said, “Whatever your mind can conceive or believe, you can achieve.” In spirituality, it means aligning with the oneness of everything. In this oneness, there’s no lack, only abundance. Abundance is everywhere, from the stars in the sky to the grains of sand on the beach. It’s limitless.
Money is just one form of abundance. When we talk about money, we’re really talking about a rich life full of everything you desire.
The simplest way to achieve this is to first embrace the abundance around you. Live it, breathe it, recognize and appreciate it. When you become aware of this abundance in nature and your life, your view of life, work, money, and activities will shift.
This new awareness opens your eyes to different perspectives and sparks creative ideas and possibilities. It brings opportunities and inspiration. When you act on these inspirations, you’ll find money and abundance flowing easily into your life, and you’ll love it.
How Do I Ask the Lord for Money?
Prayer isn’t just asking God for things. God knows what you need. Prayer is a time to reflect and articulate your thoughts. Take a look at Matthew 6:7-8:
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
See the part I have emboldened. God already knows your heart even before you ask. Also, I find the Lord’s Prayer a good starting point. When you begin your prayer asking God for money, acknowledge His greatness and show your reverence. Count your blessings and express gratitude for them. Then, describe your financial situation as you see it. Start with how you got into this situation and explain what’s happening now. Express your emotions freely – fear, stress, anger. Don’t hold back your words, thinking they might be disrespectful. God understands your feelings, so let them out.
Next, focus on practical aspects. Identify what you can and cannot change in your situation, and what the future might look like with each change. You have been seeking financial relief – what would that mean? Are there specific actions you need to take? Consider the worst and best-case scenarios realistically. What’s likely to happen with each change?
Think about others around you. Not to diminish your feelings, but to consider if asking for help is feasible. What would help look like? Do others need help, and can you offer it?
End your prayer by expressing your wish to be a good person and asking God for guidance in attracting money.
Conclusion
If you currently face opposition, especially if you are reading this article, consider it a positive sign. That opposition brings pressure and resistance, and in turn, it can forge strength. The most valuable kind of strength is the spiritual and internal fortitude that God provides. This strength will help you to realize the dreams, goals, and desires that God has instilled in your heart, soul, and spirit. So, if you are encountering resistance on your journey to wealth from God, see it as an opportunity to grow stronger and more resilient in your pursuit of manifesting your vision.
