The Kwara State Government is starting the 2025 Kwara Coding and Digital Literacy Program today. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is leading this effort to teach students important digital skills.
Last year, the 2024 program helped many students learn Project Building, Python, Web Development, and Innovation Thinking. It took place in six centers across the three senatorial districts.
This year, the program will be bigger. It will cover 50 public secondary schools and teach 7,500 students. The goal is to give young people the skills they need for the future.
The program will start in Kwara Central Senatorial District this week. Later, it will move to Kwara South and Kwara North.
One official said, “We want our students to be ready for the digital world. This program will give them the tools to succeed.”
The courses available are:
► Web Development
► Python
► Innovation Thinking
► Project Building
The first phase will begin on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 2 PM in three schools in Kwara Central:
- Government Day Junior Secondary School, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin South
- GSS, Ilorin East
- GDSS, Adewole, Ilorin West
Another official said, “We believe every child should have access to digital education. This program will change lives.”
Governor AbdulRazaq wants Kwara to be a place where young people can learn and grow with technology. The government believes that by teaching students coding and digital skills, they will have better job opportunities in the future.
The Kwara State Government is committed to making sure students are ready for a world that depends on technology. Many people are excited about this program and what it will bring to Kwara’s youth.
